So, where’s the android app? You and Asprey are starting to tick me off. Why are you only developing I-crap? Android is the most used mobile system…why not start with us just once….or ever? Love you, Abel…but this is just alienating all your android fans!!!!
Creating apps is a costly project and we are also a very small app business compared to many others. The last app we made for android lost money, as there just were not many downloads. Because of this we have decided to focus all our energy on making the best products we can for the iOS platform. We apologize to anyone who is negatively effected by this decision.
Hi Ray, thanks for the feedback. Being a small company with a small focus on apps, spending the time and money to do that isn’t in our best interest yet.
Abel is mostly focused on writing and audio/video products, and the apps are a side project at this point.
I agree.
3 years later, almost 4, still no Android app. 🤐
You should develop for the biggest market first (android) and then the niche players (apple and Microsoft)
totally agree!!!
Biggest “market” for what? The fact is that Apple’s App Store generated 70% more revenue than Android’s marketplace. If you’re interested un putting out mediocre free apps, then Android rules, but if you’re an entrepreneur who would like to see a return on your time, money, and effort to build a first-class app, then iOS is the only game in town.
Stop complaining. If you buy second class products, you’ll get treated like second class.
Now now–let’s play nice. Not everyone wants Apple products.
Hi Abel! The app looks great, super excited for the release! Will the app be updated free with new recipes once you buy it? If I remember right, you mentioned in a podcast that listeners can submit their recipes too, was that for the app? Will there be listener-created recipes? Thanks!
Ahh this looks amazing! I think I may have to take advantage of the half off deal & make this my weekly treat to myself rather than my usual kombucha 😉
Hire me to make your android apps 🙂
Second class, second class, second class…… whoo hoo!
No, iOS is the second class app. See, the issue is when you do nothing but advertise on iOS, that will be your only market. If you then throw out a bone on android and it doesn’t sell, what do you expect? I see that you are uninterested in the larger android market so, that’s fine. Now that we know we can move on. There are lots of new android apps for paleo living folks, just go get ’em and leave the iOS elite, like FatBurningMan with their little lemmings league to spark and fade away and wonder why it all went bad. What a shame Abel, that this is how your people respond to a request from YOUR followers. You’ve lost me…how many others?
I’m going to run out and buy an iPhone so I can have this $3 app and make some crappy meat-pie. Oh wait, no I’m not! I’m going to go on social media and talk about the idiots that think i-users outnumber android users…these people also think we are going to trust anything else they say about nutrition?? Um, not me! If you can’t figure out who your market audience is, I doubt you can give me a good meat-pie recipe.
I love how the comments section (on a food blog) instantly became an Android/iOS fanboy war. Android folks: just because Android has the largest user base doesn’t mean it’s the go-to for making apps… If it’s really that frustrating join the iOS “lemmings”.
Looking forward to the app though, sounds awesome!
I’m not joining the war, just an Android user letting you know that I would love the app on my platform. I just converted two more people to Android. Our numbers are growing. 🙂
Will you be adding other recipes to the initial group?
Aren’t we all in the same tribe here?
I have an android device and was looking forward to using this app – I should think there are quite a few people “negatively affected” by this decision. What a shame … the app looks great and I would definitely have bought it. Possibly you should highlight that it is for IOS only when advertising it. Hire Monica …
Another vote for hiring Monica
:waves hand in the air:
Please count me in as another Android hopeful! No flaming, just hoping. 🙂
I purchased the Caveman Feast app for Android. But I was disappointed that new recipes were never added, and that most of the time I had to check the website to make sure recipe instructions were correct. A lot of the recipes had errors or omissions in the app. I’m sorry you lost money doing an Android app last time, but I wish you would give it another try.
Could you make info from app available as an e-book for non-issue users?
I’m with Tina- Let us non-I-Crap users buy it in e-book form! VERY sucky to get pulled in by the enticing Sultry Pig and then not being able to even get the recipe! 🙁
The recipes will be in The Wild Diet that comes out in April as well!
Bought the app and made the Gooey Fudge-Butter Bars, no flour called for in the recipe. Took them to a football party and everyone loved them! The bars opened the door to a conversation on the topic of being gluten-free and led further to a discussion about healthy nutrition. These bars are so delicious!!!!!
So, where is all the audio/video he’s focusing on? I haven’t seen anything new on the podcasts since October…am I looking in the wrong place? I thought Abel went out of business until I found this link.
Audio/video? Haven’t seen any in months!!
Nice App for Fat Burners! I love it….
I am an Android phone user and would love an Android version of the app. When the Android version came out for the previous apps, did we get a discount at the beginning? I have bought Caveman Feast, but had to pay full price since I learned about Abel only recently. Please don’t give up on Android. I was an iPhone user for years and like my Samsung Note much better.
Why not develop an HTML 5 website that would work on both iOS and Android devices.
Hi Abel,
I do hope one day that you are able to get a app for the android. It makes shopping so much easier. I run a small business and I understand how long things to take. When you do release an android app please make an announcement because I have a feeling I will be with you and Alyson for a long time. Thank you!
We hope to have very exciting news soon, Terri!
Me and my husband have smart phones and want the app as well…btw we’ve been on the diet a week I lost 5lb hubby lost 3..but he cheated on some sweets etc and not the wild kind..loved the coconut chocolate cookies mmm mmm!
Abel: Oh please let it be – something for Android! This is my FIRST day on the 30-Day Wild Diet program, and I so want something like this – I need all the support and resources I can get!
Thanks!
I’d love to see recipes on the website if there’s no app for Android. I bought The Wild Diet and there’s a pic of some yummy deviled eggs and the caption says the recipe is available in the app. I’m sure you can understand my disappointment in finding that the app, and the recipe, is unavailable to Android users.
Are there plans to make the Wild Kitchen app for Android? My husband and I have been doing the Wild Diet for a year now and I would love to have access to recipes on my phone.
Also would love to get this app, but android user here too, I will never own an apple product as I am not a fan of any of their products. I know a few years ago you said no, but any chance android can get this app now too?!?!?!? My family has loved all recipes I’ve made from your FB page, but would love the app.
Will there be an android app?
