Are you a little bit confused about exactly what is healthy and what isn’t?
In a sea of disinformation, marketing hype and rage bait, combined with aggressive censorship of researchers, doctors and health professionals, finding your way to the truth isn’t easy.
Over the past few years, the internet has been hijacked by cowardly, unelected overlords who shadowban, censor and silence us in a sad attempt to dumb us down and keep us in the dark.
But what if these tech platforms, instead of intentionally distracting and demoralizing us, were actually used as a force for good?
Returning to the show this week is our friend Ben Azadi, a bestselling author, award-winning podcast host, health coach and founder of Keto Kamp who went through a personal health transformation, shedding an incredible 80 pounds. Now he helps teach other people how to do exactly the same thing and live a healthier lifestyle.
On this show with Ben Azadi, we’re chatting about:
- What NOT to buy when shopping for “keto” products
- How to maintain mental and physical health in a sea of censorship, disinformation and rage bait
- Tips for reprogramming your own patterns to be more in sync with natural rhythms
- One simple daily practice with proven results to reduce inflammation
- How to build intellectual freedom to create meaning in our lives
- And a whole lot more…
Where To Find Ben Azadi
You can pick up Ben’s bestselling book Keto Flex by going to ketoflexbook.com.
Keto Flex is available as a paperback, on Kindle, as well as an Audiobook version.
Find something that is really important to you—your why, your highest values, the Greeks call your telos—and then commit to it. @thebenazadi #committed #goals Share on XAbel James: I read your book “Keto Flex” a few times. It’s very good. There are so many bad diet and nutrition and fitness books out there, but the really good ones are the ones that you could come back to 10 or 15 or 25, 50 or 100 years later, and they would still have many of those principles in there that would help people.
And it’s pretty easy to write books that are all flowery and have some principles wrinkled in there with saying the opposite and dancing around the topics and mentioning a couple of hype-y things or whatever, but putting those solid principles and that’s something that you’ve done, and it takes a lot of work to simplify things, right? It takes a lot of work to put that stuff in there in a way that’s relatively easy to absorb if you sit down with it for a few hours or if you just go to one page, it’s clearly laid out.
So I encourage all of you listening to go out and check out Ben Azadi’s work, whether it’s the books or the various channels that you have out there, I really respect your work ethic.

Before You Go
We’ve also found over the years that one of the tricks to surviving temptation around the holidays is actually giving into it, but just a little bit by eating handcrafted holiday treats made from real food.
We’re talking turkeys, hearty meat entrees and sides replete with chocolate, pies, cookies and even cheesecake for dessert.
If that sounds good to you, then make sure you’re signed up for the newsletter, as we’ve already started giving away free holiday recipe books to you folks who are signed up.
All you have to do is visit the home page here on FatBurningMan.com and enter your email address to sign up for the newsletter.
We have over 500 free episodes of this show in video, audio and many with full transcripts, as well.
And if you sign up for the newsletter, you can also get a free Wild Quick-Start Guide and 7-Day Meal Plan just for joining.
And stay tuned because we have another epic Kindle book giveaway and more free holiday cookbooks coming your way for you folks who have signed up for the newsletter.
Last year and the year before, we gave away over 50,000 ebooks on the Kindle alone, and a lot of people have written in about how some of those recipes have really made the holidays come together.
It’s easier to eat well when you have lots of great and healthy food around you. That way you’re not falling for the store-bought cakes and cookies.
They might look kind of nice, might even taste ok, but as far as your metabolism is concerned, as far as your health is concerned, you’re not doing yourself any favors eating those store-bought pies and cakes and that sort of thing.
So try to make a real food dessert for yourself and your family at some point this year, and hopefully you’ll see that it’s really worth it.
We have endless recipes. Just go to the Recipe section here and eat your heart out.
And one more time, make sure you’re signed up for the newsletter to get in on all the fun holiday freebies we’ll be sending to subscribers.
Thank you for all your notes, reviews and support. We couldn’t do this without you and appreciate all the ways you get in touch and stay connected with us.

Alyson Rose says
Really dig this interview with Ben. Here are a couple things he said that really stood out to me:
“Joe Dispenza has done brain scans on thousands of people who practice gratitude. And as they’re actively practicing the gratitude, he’s seen 1200 chemical reaction processes happen in the body instantaneously that reduce inflammation. ” – Ben Azadi
“Just because it’s keto-friendly does not mean it’s health-friendly… Don’t fall for the brilliant marketing and the packaging. Turn it over and look at the ingredients. And there’s a few main things you want to look out for, and if it has any of these ingredients, it’s not healthy for you. It might get you in ketosis, but it’s not going to get you healthy. And those, number one, it’s going to be the seed oils, canola, corn, cotton seed, sunflower, soybean, safflower, rice bran and grapeseed oil, these polyunsaturated fatty acids… Number two, the artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame, you want to make sure it doesn’t contain those. And then the third thing I’ll add to it Abel, is don’t fall for the net carb trick.” – Ben Azadi
