Hi Folks,
Today we’re here with the lovely Dr. Lauren Noel, Naturopathic Doctor and host of the popular Dr. Lo Radio Show. It’s always fun to have fellow hosts on the show, and Dr. Lo rocked the house.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Lo at AHS 12 and recently chatted it up with George Bryant of Civilized Caveman on the Dr. Lo Show to talk about our new eCookbook, Caveman Feast. You can check out our interview / hang out session here.
As far as Dr. Lo’s work is concerned, I think this quote from her website sums it up quite nicely:
“The human body has an innate ability to heal itself when given the right circumstances. It is my job to help identify hidden roadblocks to this natural process and assist my patients to achieve optimal wellness. I love what I do because it works. By addressing the cause of disease rather than the symptoms, long lasting relief is often achieved.”
Instead of blasting you with prescriptions, Dr. Lo’s approach is to use food as medicine to treat the root of the problem, not the symptoms.
The human body is a biochemical marvel. It’s innately more intelligent than most human interventions and has superpowers when prevention and healing is concerned. If you feed it correctly, that is.
Dr. Lo, we need more doctors like you. To those of you on the west coast, I encourage you to stop by her practice. You’ll be pooping like a rockstar in no time.
In today’s show, we talk about:
- How you can use food as medicine
- How working the graveyard shift is a known carcinogen
- The importance of a raw food diet for dogs
- How to have a rockstar poop
- Why doctors smoke
- And tons more…
Sweet. Here’s the show.

Hello Abel and thanks for your site and podcast. In your interview Dr. Noel mentioned a website where you could check how safe various products are that might be in the home (cleaning agents etc.). I did a web search but cannot find anything. Do you now the website URL by any chance?

Hi David, this website (www.cosmeticsdatabase.com) ranks the safety and toxicity of thousands of personal care products on a scale of 1-10, with a 10 being highly toxic. Check it out!
