Are you training for short-term results or for longevity?
How can we train to not just avoid the hit, but to actually take the hit?
And most importantly, why deadlift when you can just get butt implants?
Today, I’m honored to be here with some of my heroes, Juliet and Kelly Starrett are co-founders of the Ready State and co-authors of the new book Built to Move. After decades of working with pro athletes, Olympians and Navy Seals, mobility pioneers, Kelly and Juliet Starrett wrote their new book to focus on long-term physical wellbeing for the rest of us mere mortals.
As you’ll hear on today’s show, by rethinking your environment and working in easy, simple and enjoyable mobility exercises, we can train to be more durable now as well as later in life.
This is a fun one. On this show with Juliet and Kelly Starrett, we’re chatting about:
- Why deadlifts are better than butt implants, despite what Instagram might tell you
- Why 5 to 10 minutes of daily mobility training compounds into huge wins over time
- How the white water rapids that flipped Kelly’s raft eventually led to true love
- Why walking is prescribed to elite war fighters
- How to make stretching a fun pair bonding or family activity
- Why it’s important to balance heavy lifts with mobility training
- How to set up your living and working environment for longevity
- And tons more…
Let’s go hang out with Juliet and Kelly.

And what most people don’t know is that even if you’re taking a magnesium supplement, you still may be deficient if you’re not getting all 7 forms.
The good news is that Magnesium Breakthrough from BiOptimizers packs all 7 forms of magnesium in one powerhouse supplement. No other supplement on the market offers 7 types of magnesium in 1 bottle.

Really fun interview, I love the back and forth banter between Kelly and Juliet. I started doing stretches in the evening after hearing this show, and I was surprised at how much my sleep improved too. Big fan over here!
