- 10 whole pasture-raised chicken wings
- 1 – 2 cups coconut oil (for frying)
- ½ cup grass-fed butter
- ½ cup hot sauce
- Celery, carrots, and organic sour cream for serving (optional)
- Make the buffalo sauce by melting the butter and hot sauce together in a small pot set over low heat. Whisk constantly until the sauce is perfectly blended and hot. Set aside.
- Heat the coconut oil over medium-high heat in a large, deep pot with a lid or pan or deep fryer.
- When the oil is sizzling hot, lay the wings gently into the oil using a slotted spoon or tongs. Be careful not to splash yourself with the oil. Do not overlap. If your pan or fryer isn’t big enough, cook the wings in batches.
- Cook until one side is browned and crispy -- about 5 minutes. Flip with tongs and continue cooking until all the skin is golden and crisp and the center is cooked through, another 5 – 8 minutes.
- Remove the wings to a large mixing bowl (using tongs). Pour the sauce over top and toss to coat.
- Serve with celery, carrots, and organic sour cream (optional).

Super Simple and freakin delish!!! They were a hit at our superbowl party! A couple of tips, make sure the oil is super hot before putting in the wings (or else it wil take forever for the wings to crisp up) and taste a few wings before putting on the sauce, they are amazing like that too!

Is there anything I may replace the coconut oil with that is still part of the wild diet?
Alyson says
Avocado oil has a high smoke point and would probably work well, too.

I make a fat burning type meatloaf that I love. I put in oatmeal and carrots, onion, celery. How much of COC? A lot. I’m not sneaking veggies into something. I will be first to say that COC are good for you and add a ton of flavor so eat up. The COC helps the meatloaf from being dense so it would be considered more tender. I did use a 85% lean ground beef. I do have Ables book
